Namrata Gauri Yoga

ABOUT

Namrata Gauri was born and brought up in India. She now live in Munich, Germany. She teaches Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga.

 

Namrata was introduced to yoga as a child but reconnected with it many years later. Since then she has immersed myself in practicing, learning, sharing Yoga. After doing her first teacher training at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram in Kerala, India I taught in New Delhi and at Yogamagic Eco Retreat in Goa, India. While at Yogamagic I was mentored by Juliet Leary. My second teacher training was Restorative Yoga with Jodi Boone, Brahmani Yoga in Goa. Last year I finished my advanced teacher training at the Sivananda Meenakshi Ashram in Madurai, India. 

 

My classes encourge you to keep your breath as your core focus and guide during asana practice. I aim to share how yoga has changed my life through my classes. I insist that with a mindful asana practice one can not just achieve bounteous physical benefits but also mental balance and emotional stability. As we engage the mind with the sensations going on inside the body while we practice asana something wonderful happens. We don't even realize it but we start to become grounded, peaceful and comfortable with ourselves with every single practice. Awareness is the beginning of change. In the process of trying to create awareness through asana and pranayama the body experiences flexibilty, core strength, deeper relaxation and vitality. I hope to help people connect with themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually so that we all can enjoy good health and celebrate life.
